Combat Drones - Atey Battalion

Combat Drones - Atey Battalion

Modern warfare has long moved beyond the classic understanding of combat. Today, much of the work on the battlefield begins not with troop movement, but with a drone taking to the sky. In many cases, it is the drone that first “sees” the enemy and makes it possible to make the right decision.

In the ATEY Battalion, unmanned systems have become an essential part of daily operations. They are used for reconnaissance, surveillance, fire adjustment, and battlefield assessment. Simply put - these are the “eyes” without which operating on a modern battlefield becomes far more difficult.

The enemy also actively uses drones, which means the fight takes place not only on the ground, but in the air as well. New types of UAVs constantly appear, tactics continue to evolve, and countermeasure systems improve all the time. This creates a situation where every day brings new challenges and demands rapid adaptation.

Working with drones requires training and concentration. It is not simply about “launching and watching.” An operator must understand the battlefield situation, make fast decisions, and work effectively with the unit. Sometimes just a few seconds of reaction can determine the outcome of an entire operation.

Special attention is given to coordination between drone operators and other elements of the unit. Information transfer, action coordination, and rapid response all function as one system. And when that system works properly, the effectiveness of the unit increases dramatically.

Although drones do not replace soldiers, they significantly reduce risks. Areas that once required entering dangerous zones “blind” can now first be observed from the air. Put simply - it is better to see the situation first than to test it on yourself.

The ATEY Battalion actively uses unmanned systems both on the front line and while carrying out missions in other operational areas. This helps improve precision, response speed, and the overall effectiveness of combat missions.

At the same time, the need for drones remains constant. They wear out quickly, are lost during missions, or require upgrades to match the changing realities of war. That is why supplying the unit with unmanned systems remains one of the key factors for success.

Drone support directly impacts the lives of soldiers and the outcome on the battlefield.

Every drone means greater capabilities, faster decision-making, and reduced risks for personnel.
